Large scale photography - different specs and opportunities

My Buddha 1
Facts
about
this particular photography
This photography of a Buddha paint I bought in Hua Hin for many years ago, may look like any other ordinary photography of a Buddha figure you will find on the Internet. It looks sharp and crisp and it seems to have a nice resolution, ready to print.
But, this very particular photography you are looking at right here, have one or two advantages compared to many of the other Buddha photographies you will find on the internet.
First of all. It's just not one large photography. It's actually a photography that consist of 48 other excellent photographies, of the very same object. All stitched together in to one large photography of the very same Buddha as u c. Imagine 49 images stitched together into one large photography. That's large. And that's awesome.
Second of all. If you take a closer look at the exif data your will find something extraordinary here, right in front of you. This very photography of my Buddha is rendered as a PSD/PSB Adobe Photoshop file in 16 bit in 300 DPI. This setting gives you a width of the photography equals to 32563 x 46958 pixels. Size(in 300 dpi) is rendered to 2,78 m x 4,01 meters equals to 1.529 megapixels, or, 1.5 gigapixel. The single size of the rendered PSB file is 17.2 Gb. Now, that's what I call a humongous size of a one amazing photography - but that's not all.

If You wan't to discover and study this particular gigapixel photography by your self...
